Florence Acres is a growing flower farm in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
We focus on growing a wide variety of cut flowers for your special occasions that will last longer than imported flowers and are grown organically so you can feel comfortable having them on your tables and in your homes.
We also have a farm stand at the farm where you can pick up a fresh bouquet, farm fresh eggs, or in season vegetables when available.
-
We are focused on learning regenerative farming practices, using organic means to controlling pests and building soil health for healthy plants that can thrive in spite of environmental challenges.
-
We primarily work with event florists to supply premium quality blooms for every occasion.
We also offer DIY buckets for anyone looking to arrange flowers for their own events.
For 2026, we are looking forward to hosting small events on the farm and in our surrounding community, that combine the joy of flowers with a social gathering, to build a stronger community for our friends and neighbours.

Here I am. Where life brought me. Fashion, Jewellery, Gardening, Health, Art, Flowers.
… To name a few. How does anyone choose one focus? One thing I’ve never understood is how anyone could ever be bored with how much this world offers to discover. How many skills one can learn.
I’ll introduce myself. I’m Nelda. Thusnelda Florence. One thing I’m awful at is words. I’m just not creative with them. Naming things. But when I learned my middle name, Florence, meant ‘blossoming, flourishing, prosperous’ I thought Florence Acres would work for a flower farm. And since I also silver/goldsmith under the name Thusnelda Florence (my full given name), and sometimes I sew things and sometimes I bake things and I can’t decide on just one thing to do I thought I’d bring everything onto one big happy page and call it ‘Florence in the county’. So that’s me. Nelda. Thusnelda Florence. Wife, mother to three boys, jeweller, gardener, designer, baker, teacher to my boys (yep, they’re always with me and that’s the best part of my days), and just overall, a wearer of many hats.
Welcome! To Florence In the County!
